Target boycott is (not) over:

• The Strib reports the Target Boycott is “over”. The boycott was originally called after kissing Trump’s ring, removing pride merch and gutting DEI projects.
• Turns out the original Minneapolis organizer behind the boycott wasn’t interviewed at all for the Strib’s article. You can also read a copy of the post on BSky. This is a pattern we’ve see by Minneapolis leadership since 2020; co-op, take ownership, kill slowly, claim everything is better now, status quo maintained.

Frey vetoes eviction notice extensions:

• Despite hours of testimony and approval by the council, Minneapolis Mayor vetoes the eviction filing period extension. You can read the full veto order here. Jerk.
• Posts on social media describe a tent encampment obliterated by Frey’s MPD. Our Mayor, everyone!
