Marketing. It was about marketing:

• NYT writes about what feds accomplished in Minneapolis. The intent was always to brutalize and create incentives to not fight the brutalization; “We did this to them, we can do this to you”. The problem was, we fought back.

• MN projects a surplus, despite Surge and general uncertainty. Will any of our neighbors see this? Any eviction prevention? No?

The bigger picture:

• Federal court strikes down the regime’s scheme of deporting people to countries they’ve never lived in. Multiple things are coming to a head at once for the admin, meanwhile they try to distract by attacking trans people or threatening war with Iran.
